Nice to Meet You!

I love writing and having meaningful conversations.

Born and raised in rural north Texas, I narrated stories to my parents from a young age. Now, I write from my home north of the Dallas area, where I live with my husband and our two sons. When I’m not writing for work, I’m booking guests for, recording, and producing the Know Why Podcast.

I earned my bachelor's degree in journalism from Patrick Henry College in northern Virginia. With Washington, D.C. just down the road, I completed the National Journalism Center program and spent a year working as a talk radio producer for WMAL. God's grace brought me back to the Lone Star State, where I first worked as a writer for the religious freedom law firm First Liberty Institute, and then as a staff writer for The Stream. I currently work as a writer for Point of View Radio Talk Show, as host of the Know Why Podcast, and as president of Know Why, Inc.

I enjoy writing and discussing topics I'm passionate about — life, family, and living faithfully for Christ in today's culture. I've spoken about my writing on multiple talk radio programs around the country. Today, you can frequently catch me on Point of View’s Millennial Round Table and Weekend Edition.

There are a few things I'm always up for: hopping in the truck for a country cruise, reading a good book, and writing a good story.

On this site you can find my latest published articles and radio appearances, read more about my life on my personal blog, or talk to me about writing for your publication or appearing as a guest on your show. If you’d like to recommend a guest or topic for the Know Why Podcast, contact me here.
